The Devil is Smiling: 56 Million Human Homicides and SILENCE

Dear Friends for Life: A serious question lingers among Catholic believers today. Are our Shepherds doing their job? According to Pew Research Center, a nonpartisan fact tank that informs the public about the issues, attitudes, and trends shaping America and the world, recently stated that among Catholic Republicans, 55% say abortion should be illegal in all or most cases (leaving 45% approval). At the same time, 64% of Catholic Democrats say abortion should be legal in all or most cases. The PRC concludes that Catholics often express opinions that are much more in line with the positions of their political parties than with the teachings of their church. Is this a sign that God and the Catholic Church no longer play a primary role in the lives of Baptized Catholics?

The burning issue: On average, 56 million abortions occurred worldwide each year in 2010–2014. This is an increase from 50 million annually in 1990–1994. Each year, globally, there were 35 abortions per 1,000 women aged. In the United States alone, In 2015, the most recent year for which data is available, a total of 638,169 abortions were reported.

In my last article “The Devil is Smiling”. Where are our Shepherds?”, I touched upon the leadership in the Catholic Church and asked why no direct action is taken against Catholic Politicians who support killing children and vote for laws to legalize abortion. These bad laws not only allow abortions up to the moment of birth but also offer no protection for babies BORN ALIVE after botched abortions (infanticide). For over 40 years I have been involved in the Pro-Life Ministry and the abortion’s slippery slope continues to worsen with more horrifying procedures.

Why? The answer is simple: SILENCE with its various faces! The continual SILENCE of our Shepherds with ramble-scramble comments. The overall SILENCE of the majority of good Catholics, showing signs of apathy. Both actions give tacit permission to the devil to continue his destructive mission, gradually destroying God’s innocent creations and in many ways weakening the influence of the Catholic Church. Remember that the Holy Spirit cannot accomplish anything without you.

Let’s ask ourselves, could not the English language game be the source of the slippery slope? For example, I question the politicians’ usage of the word ABORTION. Official dictionaries clearly state that abortion is “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy.” Further reading shows that the word DELIBERATE is something done consciously and intentionally, not impulsive, a deliberate decision; TERMINATION: the act of bringing something to an end; HUMAN: relating to or characteristic of people or human beings; PREGNANCY: containing a developing … unborn offspring within the body.

We see how the Dictionary clearly defines ABORTION. Without any doubt, the act of ABORTION consists of one human being ending the life of another human being. A Ph.D. degree is not required to comprehend this simple fact. But it takes a Ph.D. to make ABORTION legal by changing the meaning of the word. To the ordinary person “to legalize something based on a falsely created definition” is ridiculous. But this is what occurs with our current Catholic politicians and others. They vote for laws which legalize the killing of small children by changing the meaning of its usage. Then the term becomes permissible and no accountability is required.

How do Politicians manipulate the meaning of a word? Since the weight of the term ABORTION has been weakened by the fake media, it is easier to pass fake laws without proper research. For example, politicians (including Catholic ones) have moved the title of ABORTION to the category of “HUMAN RIGHTS“. Is this logically accurate? Again consulting the dictionary, HUMAN RIGHTS is defined as “a right which is believed to belong to every person”. The UN is even more clear: “Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more.”

My question to Catholic politicians and the media is: Are you intellectually qualified to rewrite the dictionary? In light of the above definitions, how can any Catholic politicians possibly claim that ABORTION is a “woman’s human right to kill her child” and, at the same time, exclude the “child’s human right to live”. Can I, as a human being, apply this false interpretation of HUMAN RIGHTS to another human being of my choice?

Again the question? Where are the Shepherds of the Catholic Church? 56 Million Human Homicides and NO condemnations or excommunications. Why not condemn the devil and those who support him? Our Christian values and moral principles are at stake. Evil is attacking the very fabric of the Catholic Church, a Church which is guided by the Holy Spirit. God tells us over 365 times in the Bible: “Do not be afraid.” For example in Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Our Shepherds should not be afraid to condemn all forms of ABORTION with one Catholic voice, more precisely, by publicly excommunicating all Catholic politicians by name, those who are poisoning the minds of our young people and weakening society by legalizing ABORTION to advance their selfish careers? Our leaders, our Shepherds should not play games with the lives of small, innocent children. It is not a question of “being born or unborn”, there is only one human life here from its very beginning. It does not jump around from the beginning to being a carrot, flower, animal, or tree and then, to our surprise, become a human being at birth. This type of reasoning is absolute stupidity.

In the early history of the Catholic Church, we see Popes, Bishops and Catholic writers condemning heresies, excommunicating not only false teaching clergy members by name but also powerful Kings of large nations. The faithful had Shepherds who were not afraid to publicly clarify and protect the true teachings of Christ, even though it led to exile and martyrdom for many.

Can we claim ignorance or be SILENT when the Word of God states in Jn. 15:15, “I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing. But I call you friends because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father.”

The first reading on Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2019, is from the book of Genesis and was written over three thousand years ago. However, it could just as easily have been written about our world today. The people of Babel failed because they sought to build something without reference to God, it was doomed to failure.

Do we not find ourselves in the same situation today? We have advanced in science and technology far beyond what any other society ever has. Sad to say, this technology and science are increasingly replacing God in our world. As a result, current laws are protecting specialist in ABORTION. Like the people of Babel, our attempts at replacing God with technology and laws has only divided us. As human beings, we cannot even reach a consensus about ABORTION. If God is not put back into society, we will stand in ruins like the tower of Babel.

Therefore, I suggest to bring God back into society and consult the dictionary. Simple solution, but essential. With a solid foundation of word-meanings, we can communicate and solve social issues. In brief, I strongly propose that we no longer use the word ABORTION. Let us call it by its real name: HOMICIDE “the killing of one human being by another.” If we use the term “HOMICIDE“, I doubt very much that our self-serving politicians would pass such stupid, barbarous, and terrifying laws by flying them under the banner of “human rights” for obvious reasons.

I call these laws unconstitutional because they are not based on facts. The only human area of study that has the right to define when human life begins is Field of Human Embryology. As I said, politicians (including Catholic ones) are clueless. Read this timely article by Dr. C. Ward Kischer, Ph.D. They never heard of Human Embryology. Many of his articles can be found at LifeIssues.net. Dr. C. Ward Kischer, Ph.D. is an emeritus professor of Cell Biology and Anatomy, specialty in Human Embryology, University of Arizona, College of Medicine. A must read for those seeking “clear thinking about this crucial issue”.

For example, in his article on “Reflections on Roe v. Wade and its Effect on Society”, he states, “As a Ph.D., Medical College Professor, Embryologist, and lifelong publisher of scientific research, I am disappointed that politicians and legislators, who had no need to corrupt established scientific principles, did so and sought out willing scientists to corrupt their professional disciplines. This occurred, simply because the government lacked the will to establish a “due process” of life termination of unborn individuals for desirous citizen parents. The science is clear and the law is clear, as enunciated by Justice Antonin Scalia, in that the Constitution guarantees due process for all individuals. By cowardly removing the status of “individual” from the unborn, the government avoids the guilt of “death by due process.” And it is a decision that cannot stand forever, in its current form. The simple reason for this is that individuality of the fertilized egg, is an absolute. And that is science.”

In addition to Dr. Kischer’s professional observations based on facts, you may also want to consult the library of Dr. Dianne N. Irving, Ph.D. located at LifeIssues.net.. Dr. Irving’s professional activities include teaching positions at Georgetown University, Catholic University of America, and The Dominican House of Studies. She represented the Catholic Medical Association of the United States, and the International Federation of Catholic Medical Associations, at the Scientific Conference in Mexico City, Mexico, October 28, 1999, and presented a paper on “The Dignity and Status of the Human Embryo”. Dr. Irving is a former career-appointed bench research biochemist/biologist (NIH, NCI, Bethesda, MD), an M.A. and Ph.D. philosopher (Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.), and Professor of the History of Philosophy, and of Medical Ethics.

In Dr. Irving’s library, all 248 articles are all researched and referenced. The contents possess irrefutable reasoning based on facts centered on “clear thinking and human life”. Her language is very clear and appeals both to scientists and the ordinary person. For example: “The right to life begins when the human being begins to exist; for sexually reproduced human beings that means at the beginning of the process of fertilization at “first contact” of the male sperm with the female oocyte – Carnegie Stage 1a. This is not a philosophical, religious or political position; it is an objective scientific fact.”

Here is another excerpt from her article on “Why Roe will go but NOT because of Kavanaugh”: Quote: “The bottom line is that when the current Supreme Court is required to review the Roe decision, they will, of course, need to turn to and acknowledge the long-known objective scientific facts of human embryology that Roe refused to acknowledge. THAT is why Roe will go — NOT because of Justice Kavanaugh’s or any of the other Supreme Court justices’ political positions.”

In conclusion, no prudent person could possibly conclude that the Catholic Church’s teachings on life and abortion are uncertain. The Church has condemned abortion so consistently and so prominently throughout her history that this teaching is considered infallible under the ordinary Magisterium of the Church. In fact, it is difficult to find any other teaching that is so consistently reiterated in such strong terms.

In addition, the Catholic Church teaches that Human rights arise from our dignity as created in the image and likeness of God. Thus we should not be surprised that the Catholic Church regularly affirms the inherent dignity of the person as the foundation of human rights, and the right to life from the very beginning to natural death as the first among all human rights and the condition for all other rights of the person. “The dignity of the human person and the common good rank higher than the comfort of those who refuse to renounce their privileges,” Pope Francis teaches. “When these values are threatened, a prophetic voice must be raised.” Therefore the Church is a vigorous partner in efforts to make human rights a reality.

In closing, I ask our Shepherds, the guardians of the Catholic Church, to be strong leaders, to be responsible teachers, to sanctify those under your care, and not to be afraid to condemn current heresies, false teachings and to attack evil head-on. Does God not tell us in Isaiah 41:10, “Don’t be afraid, because I am with you. Don’t be intimidated; I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will support you with my victorious right hand.”

Prayer to Saint Michael written by Pope Leo XIII:

Saint Michael Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen
