Why the war on unborn children

Dear Friends for Life: “A nation that kills its own children is a nation without hope.” Last night the following headlines popped up on my computer: (1) UK will pay $1.3 billion to fund abortions and contraception around the world. (2) Oregon Passes Bill To Force Taxpayers To Pay For Abortions, Including Of Noncitizens. (3) Canada to provide a whopping $241.5 million for overseas abortions, contraception. (4) Swedish aid agency to halt funds for supporters of U.S. anti-abortion ‘gag rule’.

Why is pregnancy a war between a mother and her child? A little research shows that the number of casualties of all the wars in the history of the world is estimated at somewhat less than 500 million. This is less than one-third the amount of unborn lives sacrificed in the last 36 years.

This war on unborn babies is the “longest war” in the history of our planet. Since 1980 more than one and one half billion babies have been legally slaughtered. The United States alone stands at 60 million.

Who PROFITS from killing babies? The Child? The Mother? The Family? Society? It is Planned Parenthood and big abortion industries.

Who SUFFERS from killing babies? It is the same child, mother, family and society.

The only winners in this war are the abortion industries like Planned Parenthood. Their sole purpose is to make profit from the weak and poor. As the first four questions above show, this war is mostly sponsored by our governments. Yes, our governments provide Federal funds and grants for abortion. In the United States the government use people’s tax money to support and encourage Planned Parenthood – the largest abortion industry in the world.

The troubling part is that these same abortion organizations make an additional lucrative profit by selling the aborted bodies (the war dead) to commercial laboratories and industries which make hair shampoos, facial creams, shaving lotion, etc. Who would ever think of selling the body of a dead soldier to a commercial industry? It’s revolting. Why? Because the person killed in a war belongs to a family, to a mother, to a father, to loved ones. The unborn child also belongs to a family, to a mother, to a father.

It’s difficult to understand the mentality of the former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton other politicians. Hillary publicly admitted that she is in favor of partial birth abortions up to the full term of pregnancy, also stating that “deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed” for the sake of abortion. Planned Parenthood presented her with the Margaret Sanger Award.

It is time to stop and look at what is happening to us as human beings. The truth is that we are all victims of abortion. Everyday, more and more children lose their lives in this violent act of war which kills only children. When will it stop? When will good people stand up and protect our innocent children regardless how old they are?

The world population is currently 7.5 billion — it would be 9 billion if the 1.5 billion aborted babies had not been denied their right to life due to legalized abortion.

This war will be won or lost depending on you. Nelson Mandela quite correctly stated that “Fools multiply when wise men are silent.”

The Catholic Church has always condemned abortion, regardless of age or reason, as a grave evil. In 1995 Pope John Paul II declared that the Church’s teaching on abortion “is unchanged and unchangeable. Therefore, by the authority which Christ conferred upon Peter and his successors . . . I declare that direct abortion, that is, abortion willed as an end or as a means, always constitutes a grave moral disorder, since it is the deliberate killing of an innocent human being. This doctrine is based upon the natural law and upon the written word of God, is transmitted by the Church’s tradition and taught by the ordinary and universal magisterium. No circumstance, no purpose, no law whatsoever can ever make licit an act which is intrinsically illicit, since it is contrary to the law of God which is written in every human heart, knowable by reason itself, and proclaimed by the Church” (Evangelium Vitae 62).
