New Cyber Trend in Human Trafficking

Dear Friends for Life:   Recently, a new wave of human trafficking has come cybersexto light. Yes, it’s a growing billion-dollar child-porn-industry which relies on the internet to prey on vulnerable children, beginning at an early age and extending into early teen years. New Cyber Trend in Human Trafficking is creating worldwide alarm. What is it? Cyber-sex is the use of children in live performances over the internet for paying customers. It is the perfect 21st century crime without borders, making it difficult to stop.

Here is an example of a girl and how easily one can innocently be caught up in the web of Cyber-sex trafficking. Let’s name her “Innocence”. She is in her early teens and was lured away from her rural, mountain village by a relative who said he would give her a well-paid job as a babysitter in the city. She thought she was leaving her impoverished life for an opportunity to earn money to finish high school and help to support her poor family.

Instead, she became another victim caught up in the newest but no less sinister world of cyber-sex trafficking. This world consists of a sex-button-keyboard-soft-focus-48564746sickness never seen before, appealing to the warped fantasies of men around the world. The costumers type their instructions into a computer and watch via a Web-cam the girls performed sexual acts. This technology has made it very easy to access and exploit the vulnerable.

“Innocence” was told over the internet to take off her clothes. I was so embarrassed because I don’t want others to see my private parts,” she said. “The customer told me to remove my blouse and to show him my breasts.”

Last June, six minors (aged 4, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15) were rescued from a cyber-sex den after a couple allegedly made them strip and perform sexual acts in front of a web camera for $25 per view. Such cases are now bombarding the internet; however, no controlling laws or regulations exist yet. It’s a flourishing industry crossing national borders into the USA, Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. It can be done anywhere (private homes, bedrooms), by anyone (no education required) having access to a computer. Go online, advertise and enter the dark world of evil.

CNN has come out with a tremendous report on this evolving crisis entitled: Cyber-sex trafficking: A 21st century scourge. For additional information run a search on your computer “cyber-sex trafficking and pornography” or related topics.

One interesting part of the CNN research contains five videos. A must view is “The Fighters”. Although 1 hr and 20 minutes long, the video’s sex-button-keyboard-soft-focus-36733110presentation of the damage done to innocent children by adults will definitely bring tears to your eyes. Silence is no longer an alternative when children are being attacked by these selfish, greedy, sick people. Our children deserve to have a decent fighting chance to succeed in their lives; it starts with keeping them safe from the sick predators of flesh and looters of our children’s innocence.

Cyber-sex of children is particularly devastating and is soundly condemned in Scripture. The perpetrators of Cyber-sex are attacking the very innocence of the world’s most vulnerable persons. Cyber-sex violates everything about a person from his or her understanding of self to physical boundaries to spiritual connection with God.

Pope Francis has declared all forms of human trafficking “a crime against humanity”. What does God say about destroying the innocence of children: “If anyone causes one of these little ones – those who believe in me – to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”

Children are always a blessing from God!

God Bless
